Fried arepa Soup

- 1 ½ cups P.A.N. Pre-cooked White Corn Meal

- 2 cups water

- Oil for frying

- 2 ½ l rib broth

- 1,1 lb pastusa potato, peeled (with high starch content)

- Salt to taste

- 1 cup hogao (tomato and onion typical sauce)

- 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped

- 3 eggs

- 1 teaspoon salt


  1. Place water and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add P.A.N. Pre-cooked White Corn Meal and knead for approximately 5 minutes. Make small balls using your hands and flatten to form discs. Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown, set aside to rest and cut into small cubes.
  3. Cook potatoes in the rib broth in a saucepan. Once cooked, add the hogao, the cilantro and set aside.
  4. Combine P.A.N. Pre-cooked White Corn Meal mixture with the eggs and a teaspoon of salt. Pass the arepa cubes through the preparation and deep-fry in abundant hot oil.
  5. Add to the soup and serve immediately.
