Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups P.A.N. Pre-cooked Yellow Corn Meal

 -1 cup wheat flour

- ½ teaspoon salt

- 2 tablespoons sugar

- 3 teaspoons baking powder

- 1 ½ cups milk

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- 2 eggs

- ½ cup shortening, melted

Preparation

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425° F. Grease a baking mold with shortening and sprinkle flour.
  2. Mix P.A.N. Pre-cooked Yellow Corn Meal, wheat flour, salt, sugar and baking powder in a bowl. Add milk, lemon juice, eggs, shortening and mix well until even and smooth.
  3. Pour the batter in the mold and bake for 20-22 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven. Let the cornbread rest for 10 minutes before taking it out of the mold.
