Bean Huaraches

- 1 ½ cups P.A.N. Pre-cooked Yellow Corn Meal

- 2 cups water

- ½ teaspoon salt

- 1 cup black or bayo beans, fried

- ½ cup white cheese, grated

- ½ avocado, sliced


  1. Mix P.A.N. Pre-cooked Yellow Corn Meal, water and salt together in a bowl until the dough is smooth and uniform.
  2. Form balls and flatten with your hands using parchment paper. Shape the dough into oval discs about ½ inch thick to obtain the characteristic huarache or tlacoyo.
  3. Cook the huaraches in a hot griddle, pan or grill for 3-4 minutes over medium-high heat on each side.
